Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Mr. Vernon Wilson Cook, Jr., age 75 of Winchester. Mr. Cook passed from this life Wednesday May 12, 2021 at Manchester Health Care Center in Manchester. Mr. Cook was a native of Arkansas and was was raised in Cannon County. He attended Cannon County High School and operated a faming business in Cannon county all of his working life, instilling the virtues of honesty and hard work in his sons. After he retired from farming he made Winchester his home. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and he found his relaxation in running heavy equipment, especially a bulldozer. He loved music, loved to sing and dance and he enjoyed his life to the fullest. Mr. Cook is preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Hall Davenport Cook and his father, Vernon Wilson Cook, Sr. He is also preceded in death by his wife of more than 30 years, Eva Belle Luna Cook. He is survived by his sons, Steven Cook of Manchester, Michael (Tracey) Cook of Woodbury and Jason (Wendy) Cook also of Manchester; brother, Robin (Tammy) Cook of Woodbury. He also leaves his grandchildren, Dustin, Dakota, Jesse, Alanis, Shae, Garrett, Austin, Tyler and Robin Cook and 3 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home Friday May 14, 2021 between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. The funeral service will conducted from the Roy B.
