Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Samuel “Sam” Wallace Hiles, age 39 of Estill Springs, TN. Sam passed from this life unexpectedly at his home in the early morning hours of Saturday March 27, 2022. His is preceded in death by his father, Burl Alan Hiles; step-grandfather, Bernie Volpe; grandmother-in-law, Annie McFarland; maternal great-aunt, Carolyn Perry. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 19 years, Amy Michelle Hiles; daughter, Abigail Hiles of Estill Springs; son, Tai Miller of Cleveland, TN and his fiance' Marena Bedwell of Knoxville; mother, Donna Hiles of Jacksonville, FL; mother and father-in-law, Bill and Sandra Miller, brother-in-law, Bradley Miller of Decherd; paternal grandmother, Charlotte Volpe of Estill Springs. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. Sam was a native of Aurora, IL and a 2001 graduate of Englewood High School in Jacksonville, FL. He also was a student of Florida State University. He had made his home in Southern Middle Tennessee for a number of years. Sam owned and operated Burl’s Termite in Estill Springs following the death of his father in 2016. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 13 years and was very devoted to his many responsibilities in his military service. Sam will be remembered for his deep and loving devotion to his wife and children, and for his enthusiasm of fast and loud cars, shooting guns, surfing, skydiving, scuba and anything to do with the lakes or ocean. The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home, Thursday March 31, 2022 between the hours of 5 and 7 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home Friday April 1, 2022 at 12:30 pm. Interment will be in Watson-North Memorial Park with military honors.
