Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Linda Jane Haynes Widner, age 78 of Monteagle and formerly of Cowan. Ms. Widner passed away December 31 at Signature Healthcare of Monteagle. She was a fun-loving person with a bubbly and outgoing personality. She loved to dance and will be remembered for her great sense of humor. Before her health began to fail, she loved to travel, ready for a shopping spree or a road trip in a moment’s notice. Mrs. Widner is preceded in death by her mother, Avous Dees and her father, Milous Haynes; son, Dale Widner; sisters, Margaret Powell and Monta Rhea Phillips. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Danielle and Stacy Robinson of Estill Springs; sons, Steven Widner and wife Angela of Panama City, FL., and Rodney Widner of Tampa, FL.; grandchildren, Taylor Rundell and Alissa Robinson; sisters, Shirley Patrick of Cullman, AL and Donna Ashley and husband Perry, also of Cullman, AL; brothers, James “Jim” Haynes of Kimberly, AL and Jerry Lee Haynes of Hanceville, AL; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home Tuesday January 5, 2021 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Ashley officiating. Interment will follow at Watson-North Memorial Park with friends and family members serving as pallbearers.
