Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Lawrence Gordon Kennerly, better known as “Bo”. He was born June 2, 1948 in Decherd, TN to the late Benjamin F. and Francis Rowe Kennerly. He departed from this life on Thursday May 19, 2022 at the NHC Rehab Center in Tullahoma, TN.
Bo accepted Christ at an early age. He loves Bible Study and Sunday School. He would often chime in with his thoughts and comments. Also he was full of laughter and was a person that loves to “smile” and encourage others.
Later he was drafted into the military. He served in Vietnam and Desert Storm. He also retired from the National Guard.
He attended Draughon’s Business College in Nashville, TN. He worked at Arnold Engineering Development Center and Cleveland Pneumatic in Tullahoma, TN. One of “Bo’s” favorite pastimes was farming and raising cows.
Bo is preceded in death by his parents; Benjamin F. and Francis Rowe Kennerly, sister; Sally Kennerly, Brothers; Benjamin (Ben) Jr. and Will (Buddy) Kennerly.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley Kennerly, Brother; Reynolds Kennerly (Patty), sisters; Norma Harden, Virginia Askins, JoAnna Betts, and Linda King (Bobby), sister-in-law; Wilsie Ford (Cleve), brother-in-law's; Larry and Barry Nard (Dora). As well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends that he cherished very much.
The family will receive friends Saturday May 28, 2022 between the hours of 12 and 1 p.m. with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be sent to www.watsonnorth.com
