Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Kay E. Mitchell, age 78 of Belvidere. Mrs. Mitchell passed from this life on March 11, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Winchester. She was a member of the 1960 graduating class of Pensacola High School in Pensacola, FL. She loved to sew, crochet, but above all, she loved and adored her fur baby, Boo Boo. She will be remembered as the “Couch Coach” for the Tennessee Titans, and you could find her “coaching” during all the games of her favorite team. Mrs. Mitchell is preceded in death by her daughter, Lesia Kay Mitchell; her mother, Frances Gotch Hanlan and her father, Earl Hanlan. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 58 years, Robert Mitchell of Belvidere; daughters, Lynn Marie Yonger of Murfreesboro and Traci Lee Shrum of Belvidere; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home Saturday March 14, 2020 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 noon. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon with Rev. John Patton officiating. Interment will be at Watson-North Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Stricklin, Josh Shrum, Cody Strickland, Brandon Tate, Debron Holt and Howard Morrow.
