Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Mr. Hubert Lawson McGee, Sr., age 89 of Winchester. Mr. McGee passed away December 21, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Winchester. A native of Franklin County, he was a member of the Broadview Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also an ordained minister. He was a veteran of the U.S Army having served during the Korean Conflict. By trade, he was a union boilermaker, carpenter and iron worker. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, watching football and listening to Gospel music. Mr. McGee is preceded in death by his mother, Fannie Irene Asher McGee and his father, Lawson McGee. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife and the love of his life, Betty Jean Moore McGee; second wife, Barbara Ann Curtis McGee; son, Hubert “Buddy” Lawson McGee, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Patricia Ann Hill McGee. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his daughter, Pamela Jean McGee Devlin and her fiancé, Troy Ogles, grandchildren, Mitchell Ryan Devlin, Brooke Ashley Devlin Arthur and her husband Willie Arthur, Jr., Daniel Lawson McGee and wife, Briggett McGee, Scottie Allen McGee and wife Angie, Samantha Ann McGee Gammons and her husband Michael. Also surviving are 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and a host of other relatives, friends and church family. The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home Wednesday December 23, 2020 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The funeral service will commence at 2 p.m. in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Houston officiating. Interment will follow at Maxwell Cemetery in Belvidere.
