Henry Earl Leech, Jr. age 90 of Winchester, Tennessee, peacefully passed from this life to live with The Lord forever on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Sheltering Arms Assisted Living in Palmer, Tennessee. He was a member of the Highland Hills Church of Christ in Tullahoma, TN. He was a veteran and served his country in the Army, spending several years in the National Guard. He worked with NASA from the Gemini Projects through the Apollo missions. He retired from the IRS and worked as a tax consultant for the International Monetary Fund in Zambia, Africa, then with World Bank in Barbados, West Indies. He supported several missionary projects for the church in Zambia, Barbados, Greece, Brazil, and Honduras. Earl enjoyed travel, antiques, and classic cars (especially Corvettes). He was a talented woodworker as well as a creative artist in painting, stained glass, and various other media. Earl was loving, compassionate, kind, and patient, and was a man of integrity who was loved by many.
He is preceded in death by an infant sister, Larita Jane Leech; his parents, Henry Earl Leech, Sr. and Ola Octavia Adeline Smith Leech; a daughter, Teres Lee Shawn Leech Davis; and a nephew, Thomas Michael Leech.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marcia Huffman Leech; two brothers, Thomas Eugene Leech (Janice) of Huntsville, AL, and Gary Lee Leech (Linda) of Winchester, TN; two sons, Henry Earl Leech, III (Elizabeth) of Westbrook, TX, and William Troy Leech (Jolie) of Venice, FL; two stepdaughters, Gina Davis Boyd (Josh) of Lafayette, IN, and Gennifer Davis Stueck (Tom) of Mt. Juliet, TN; 14 grandchildren, Michael Leech, Brad Leech, David Leech, Justin Leech, Randi Leech, Kaetlin Riley, Quinn Riley, Dewayne Davis, Kinley Boyd, Knox Boyd, Grant Stueck, Emma Stueck, Oren Stueck, and Ivan Stueck; 1 niece, Vicki Chunn; 4 nephews, Chris Leech, Greg Leech, Mark Leech, and Wes Huffman; and several great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday May 22, 2022, at 2:30 at the Highland Hills Church of Christ in Tullahoma, TN. The family will receive guests an hour before the memorial begins.
