Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Eddie C. Kirk, age 77 of Decherd. Mr. Kirk passed away unexpectedly September 15, 2022 at STMC. Mr. Kirk is a native of the Greenhaw community but had made his home in Decherd for many years. He had been a truck driver for 43 years and was a faithful member of the Cowan Nazarene Church. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and maintaining a spectacular yard. He was a great mechanic that loved working on cars. He was a regular at hanging out at the “Pull-a-part”. Mr. Kirk is preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Hill Kirk and his father, Buddy Kirk. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Randel Kirk. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Judy Simmons Kirk of Decherd; daughter, Karrie (Ken) Tucker of Decherd; son, David (Tina) Kirk of Winchester. He also leaves his grandchildren Steven (Valerie) Kirk, Hillary (Lance Gilliam) Kirk, Katie Lightfoot, Kyle Tucker, Kyra Pickett, and Britney (Joel Bell) Tucker; great-grandchildren, Ryan Kirk, Logan Kirk, Wrenleigh Gilliam, Annsley Tucker, Addsyn Tucker, Karsen Pickett, Kasen Pickett and River Bell; sister, Dianna (Andrew) Gipson of Flintville; brother, Glen (Samantha) Kirk of Monteagle, TN and his very loved furbaby, "BB". The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home Monday September 19, 2022 between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday September 20, 2022, with Bro. Bill Welch officiating. Interment will follow at Watson-North Memorial Park.
