Charleen Davis

November 18, 1931 ~ September 18, 2022 (age 90)

Charleen Kimbrough Davis received her angel wings and joined our Lord on Sunday, September 18, 2022.  Born to Matthew Kimbrough and Odell Gardner Kimbrough in Lincoln County, Tennessee on November 18, 1931, she was the second of seven children.  She enjoyed working in the clothing manufacturing industry but was a stay-at-home mom until each of her three children had graduated high school.  During those years, she sewed baseballs and softballs for the Wilson Company in Tullahoma.

She battled ten plus years with Parkinson’s disease participating in every study or procedure, including deep brain stimulation, available which would possibly improve her quality of life.  After a fall and broken leg, she spent the last two years of her life bed-ridden with her husband, Roy Davis, Jr., of over 70 years by her side.  He, along with the wonderful Avalon Hospice caregivers, Cortney, Taunia, Gina and Shirley, made it possible for her to be at home until the end.

She leaves behind a large loving family who are broken hearted but know that she is in pain no more and with the Lord.  In addition to her husband, Roy Davis, Jr., she is survived by their three children, Ava (Tom) Lynch of Estill Springs, Roy (Bernadette) Davis, III, of Tullahoma, and Jan (Jack) Hines of Winchester; five grandchildren, Amanda Lynch, Shelley (John) Freeman, Patrick (Lisa) Lynch, Jaclyn Hines, Jessica Hines, and six great-grandchildren:  Liam, Zachary, Connor, Parker, Phillip and Charlie.

As she would have wanted, a small family service is planned at Watson-North Funeral Home with interment following in the Watson-North Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Roy Davis, III, Patrick Lynch, Tom Lynch, Jack Hines, John Freeman, Jaclyn Hines, Amanda Lynch and Shelley Freeman.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask memorial contributions to be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease, httpss://

You can still show your support by sending flowers directly to the family
