Terrie "Candy" Binkley

May 20, 1949 ~ October 21, 2018 (age 69)

Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Terrie Candace Holmes Binkley, known to everyone who knew her as Candy.  Candy passed from this life October 21, 2018.  A lifelong resident of Franklin County, she was a 1967 graduate of Franklin County High School. Following high school she attended Draughon’s Business College in Nashville.  For a number of years she worked for Red Foods in Decherd as the deli manager and as a cake decorator.  She joined the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department in 2004 where she worked as a Corrections Officer. Because of her sincere compassion for others and her wisdom, she became everybody’s “go to” person and earned the title of “Work Mom”.  She spent much time on Facebook and enjoyed Facebook games, fishing, antiques, and reading.   She had a special affection for animals.  Candy is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Catherine Crutchfield and her father, James T. Holmes.  She leaves to mourn her passing and forever cherish her memory her daughters, Terrie Lynn Coleman and Dina LeAnn McDonald, both of Decherd; brother, Tommy Holmes; special friends Dana and Tyler Stanley; her “fur babies” Maggie, Booger and Rusty.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to Animal Harbor, 56 Nor-Nan Rd.,  Winchester, TN 37398.  The family will gather at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday October 25, 2018 for a graveside service at Franklin Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Sheriff Tim Fuller officiating.  Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Grant, Josiah Jackson, Troy Parsons, Jr. and members of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.  Online condolences may be sent to www.watsonnorth.com.
