Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Stella Ann Barlow Singleton, age 81 of Estill Springs. Mrs. Singleton passed away in the early afternoon hours of Friday December 20, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. A native of Crossnore, NC., she and her late husband, Ralph, had made their home in Estill Springs since 1958. She later attended Motlow State Community College where she earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Business. She was a collector of antiques and had quite the green thumb, tending her various flower and rose gardens and hydrangeas. Mrs. Singleton made raising her family and being a housewife her life’s calling. She will be remembered as a very compassionate and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who loved animals of all types, from dogs and ponies to gerbils. While she was quick to deny her culinary prowess, her family assured her that she was an “amazing” cook. Mrs. Singleton is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Ralph Singleton and a son Clifford Singleton; her mother, Vesta Henson Barlow and her father, Stokes Barlow. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her daughters, Kim Singleton Loudermilk of Estill Springs, Debra (James) Barker of LaGrange, GA. and Jennifer (Daniel) Pardieck of Greenwood, SC; son, Bruce Singleton of Estill Springs; sister, Christine Barlow Black of Kernersville, NC.; grandchildren, Leila Nicole Delaney, Colin Loudermilk, Allison Pardieck and Christopher Singleton. Mrs. Singleton’s family and friends will gather at Watson-North Memorial Park for a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Thursday December 26, 2019. Online condolences may be sent to www.watsonnorth.com
