Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of James Willie "Chili" Blair. Mr. Blair passed from this life on April 5, 2018. He was a native of Fayetteville, Tennessee, but had called Decherd his home for many years. He was born to Willie T. and Charlene Marie Blair. Those who knew Chili may remember him walking the streets of Decherd, smiling and talking to everyone he met. One friend, Quentin Horton said it best when he said, "An icon of Decherd has passed.  Main Street will never be the same, as you ride thru and the smiling face of James is absent.  James was a happy soul, and one could not talk with him long without smiling and laughing.  James Blair was a man that you could just pull up a chair and get a bag of popcorn and let him go at it.  He should have been in show business!  James loved the Lord, and his conversations with me always led back to that in one way or another.  James was much smarter than he realized that he was, and he was loved more than he knew."  He loved fishing, carpentry, wood working and working on cars. Chili was a perfect example of God's mercy and grace. He had a testimony of deliverance and shared that with those he met. He leaves to cherish his memories and leaves to mourn his passing, his family, extended family, friends, neighbors, and special friends; Mr. Buck Ballard, Kristi, Roy, Ginger, Norman and Sherri.  A celebration and a memorial reflection of his life, will be held Sunday April 15, 2018, at Watson-North Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2-4 with the service starting at 4:00 p.m.
