Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Andrew Gipson, age 84 of Decherd Mr. Gipson passed away July 7, 2019 at his daughter’s home. He is preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Geneva Champion Gipson; son, Randy Gipson; mother, Lou Coker Gipson and father Charlie Gipson; sisters, Inez Champion and Ruth Archie; brother, Grady Gipson. He leaves to mourn his passing his daughters, Patty (Ricky) Shetters of Estill Springs and Rhonda (Kenny) Sherrill of Decherd; son, Terry (Gail) Gipson also of Decherd; stepdaughters, Janice (Bobby) Baker of Scottsboro, AL., Diane (Stanley) Hill of Wilders Chapel and Phyllis (Chester) Vangourder of Winchester; step-sons, Larry (Jean) Coulson, Wayne (Pam) Coulson and Steve Coulson, all of Wilders Chapel, Don (Hughlene) Coulson of Estill Springs and Bobby Coulson of Manchester; 33 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren. Mr. Gipson spent his working years as a logger and a farmer. He will be remembered for his wisdom as a father and as a good, honest and hard-working man with a strong work ethic. The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home Thursday July 11, 2019 from 12 noon until 4 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with Bro. Glen Thomas of the Estill Springs Church of God officiating. Interment will follow at Winchester Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Gipson, Ricky Shetters, Jr., Eric Sherrill, Dewayne Hill, Roy Baker, Carl Baker, Aaron Coulson and James Hill.
