Biography

Florence Campbell, age 96 of Winchester passed away Monday, July 26, 2010. Mrs. Campbell was a member of Otey Memorial Parish in Sewanee. She loved quilting, embroidery and was a wonderful cook. She also loved African Violets. Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by husband, James William Campbell in February 2001; sister, Christine Yates and brothers, Leesul Yates, Bert Yates and J.D. Yates. She is survived by her daughter, Mamie Nunley of Winchester; son, Billy (Hazel) Campbell of Sewanee; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Otey Parish with Rev. Tom McFee, officiating. Interment will follow in Eastern Star Cemetery.
