Patrick B. Patterson, age 52 of Decherd, TN passed away Saturday, May 20th, 2017. Born in Okinawa, Japan, he was the son of the late Julius B. Patterson and the late Jerry Lue Bell-Thomas. He spent several years growing up on U.S. Military bases in Italy and Germany before his parents settled in Fort Huachuca, AZ. He attended Tombstone High school where he met his high school sweetheart Angela. He grew up working alongside his parents in their furniture and appliance stores thus earning his title “Jack of all trades”. Eventually, his interest led him to become a firefighter and EMT in Huachuca City, AZ. He               supervised a traumatic brain injury facility in Caro, MI and later became a Registered Respiratory Therapist where he served in Winchester,     Tullahoma, Chattanooga, Murfreesboro and Nashville. Patrick spent most of his life serving others. He saved many lives in and out of the E.R. caring for the very young to the old. He was most honored to work in the NICU at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Patrick had many interests and hobbies through the years. He loved to sing and play his guitar whether it was around a campfire or on a stage. He performed in several bands with his brother and best friends where they traveled and played everything from country music to rock and roll. He enjoyed boating, fishing, building, gardening, cooking and keeping aquariums. Growing up on military bases around the world, he was fascinated by airplanes. Christmas gifts for him typically included model airplanes, remote control helicopters and drones. Also, as entrepreneur, Patrick decided to open a family fun center in Tullahoma. He owned and operated Galaxy Skate with hopes and dreams of an environment for the whole family to enjoy. He provided jobs and guidance for the youth as well as  safe entertainment for the children of the community. If he  wasn’t inside manning his business, he was out front watching airplanes take off and land at Tullahoma Regional Airport. Patrick is preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Michael Patterson. He leaves to cherish his memories: his high school sweetheart and wife of 29 years Angela Patterson of Decherd; two daughters, Emma Patterson of Decherd and Tosha (Richard) Fewell of Nashville, mother-in-law, Ruby Brooks of Manchester, niece Nicole (Roman) Hill and family of Decherd, sister-in-law Allison Patterson and children of Arizona, nephew Christopher Vavro of California as well as many friends, colleagues and children of the community.
