Laquita Taylor Brown

March 15, 1968 ~ March 10, 2018 (age 49)

Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Laquita Brown. Laquita Elon Taylor-Brown, 49, was born the last of five children on March 15, 1968, in Winchester, Tennessee to Howard and Dorothy Taylor.

To know Laquita was to love Laquita.  To most, she was best known to her family as “Queet Loon” and to her friends “Queety Sweetie”.  Regardless of the name you called her, the qualities of a true friend, daughter, sister, and mother to Shardasia were constant.  Laquita was tough yet gentle, kind yet strong willed, and funny yet serious.  In all of this, Quita was giving, compassionate, and unassuming.  She invested her life in Shardasia, ensuring that she would become a woman who pleases God.  Laquita was a member of Mt Olive Primitive Baptist Church where she served proudly on the Teen Board, the Choir, and the Lord whom she loved.

She graduated from Franklin County High School in 1986.  She was employed by Tennessee Apparel and later by Tepro.  She enjoyed listening to all genres of music, especially country music, old school r&b, and golden oldies.  She had an affinity for travel and she became a tourist every chance she could get.

Laquita is preceded in death by her brother, Howard Freeman Taylor, Jr.  She leaves to cherish loving memories, her daughter Shardasia Q. Allgood; her mother and father; two brothers, Tony O. Taylor (Jimmie), Marcus L. Taylor (Darla); one sister, Renee Taylor Wray (John); aunts - Lina Lewis, Juanita Vanzant, Doris Valentine (Rufus); uncles William Fitzpatrick (Vickie), Edward Lee Taylor (Carlene), Thurman Taylor (Sandra), Charles D. Taylor (Beverly), Bobby R. Taylor (Emma Jean), special friends Jennifer Gray and Paula Young, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
