Alma Luthi Weddington, age 95 and one-half years, passed from this life on September 16, 2017, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Winchester.  A native of Franklin County, she was a longtime member of the Decherd First Baptist Church where she was a loyal member until her health began to fail.  She also enjoyed dancing and other activities at the Franklin County Senior Citizens Center.  In her later years, she enjoyed watching The Game Show Network and Days of Our Lives.  When she decided it was time for her to give up driving she gave her truck to her son but jokingly told everyone she kept a set of keys “just in case”.  A lifelong homemaker, she was devoted to her family and prepared large spreads of breakfasts, lunches and dinners for her family for many years.  Mrs. Weddington is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Sam Weddington, Sr.; her mother, Ruth Davis Luthi and father, Chris Luthi; son Kenneth Weddington.  She leaves her daughter, Bonnie Hooberry of Nashville; son, Sam (Carolyn) Weddington, Jr.; sister, Helen (George) Todd of Vera Beach, FL.; brother, Edgar (Verna) Luthi of Winchester; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.  Visitation will be at Watson-North Funeral Home Tuesday, September 19, 2017, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.  The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. from the Roy. B. Watson Chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens with friends and family serving as pallbearers.  Online condolences may be sent to www.watsonnorth.com.
